Easter holiday activities.
All activities will be at the main club in Bideford.
This year we will be running gym activity sessions during the Easter holidays. Please read the list of
activities, times and dates and return the form with correct money by Sunday 19th March, BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.
These classes can only be booked in advance and will not run without sufficient numbers. All money received will be refunded or an alternative will be offered if a class cannot run.
Remembrance Day Bideford 2016
Gymnasts from North Devon were top of the medals table last weekend.
North Devon Display Gymnastics Club competed at the Fromeside Invitational Competition in Bristol with gymnasts in categories ranging from under 8 to over 14 years on floor, trampette and vault.
In the Intermediate girls under 8, North Devon took the two top spots with Millie Eastman placing in second on all three pieces and bagging a silver medal overall and Lauren Brown close behind with the bronze overall. Ashlan White narrowly missed out on a medal after coming 4th in her first competition.
Lily Hamman executed a lovely floor routine to gain her a silver on floor and a bronze medal overall in the Intermediate girls age 9 competition.
The North Devon girls in the Intermediate age 10 category took all three places overall with Holly Chamberlain winning a very impressive gold, Isobel Pink pink only .7 behind her to claim the silver and Rubie Morgan gaining the bronze.
Sophie Piper had a great competition in the Intermediate girls age 11, grabbing bronze medals on floor and trampette which gave her a well deserved bronze medal overall. Neah Hamman put in a lovely vault scoring 11.85 to gain her a gold, placing her just below her teammate Sophie in 4th overall. Emily Gardner also narrowly missed out on an individual medal, coming a close 4th on trampette.
Another narrow miss in the overall medals for Martha Andrews in the intermediate girls Under 13 coming in 4th overall. However, a strong vault and trampette saw her pick up two gold medals on the individual pieces.
Kelsi Hill and Molly Gardner wiped the floor in the Intermediate girls age 14 competition with Kelsi bagging gold on all three pieces and the overall gold medal thanks to a beautiful floor routine scoring a whopping 13.1. Molly was hot on Kelsi’s heels coming 2nd on each piece giving her the silver medal overall with just .1 separating them on floor.
A great vault score for Emma Tapsell in the Intermediate Advance girls age 12 gained her a bronze medal.
The intermediate Advance girls age 13 gymnasts also came away with medals on individual pieces with Jodie Rowcliffe competing a great trampette to gain her a gold and Cerys Lewis’ lovely vault gave her a bronze. Jodie came in 4th overall just missing out on the overall bronze by .1.
Kylie Piper had a great competition in the Intermediate Advance girls age 14 category, placing 3rd on floor, 2nd on vault and 1st on trampette, gaining her the overall silver medal.
Squad coach Lauren East said ‘ I’m so proud of all the gymnasts, they have worked very hard and many of them have achieved personal best scores today.’
